TESTS AND OTHER CHANNELS NOT NUMBERED ON THE SKY EPG

Most channels carried on Astra satellites at 28.2E are already on the Sky EPG, but the table below shows tests and some others that are available. The names of various channels that have ceased broadcasting also still appear in the list. Access them through manual tuning of your receiver. TV channels are in blue, audio channels in green. These are what I see with my system; if you have a different level of subscription, results will likely vary. Manual tuning does not let you see subscription channels for free!

See my front page including a list of the main Sky Digital channels or see what extras are available from the Eurobird satellite.

Manual Tuning

To access the above channels, you need to add them to the "Other Channels" section of the Digibox "Services" menu.

This is how it works on my Sky HD receiver. Menus may vary slightly on other receivers. Press the Services button and press the down arrow on the remote to highlight SKY+ SETUP, then use the right button or press 6 to get to ADD CHANNELS. Press the down button so the frequency is highlighted and type in the frequency as given above. Press down again if you also need to change the polarity letter, Symbol Rate or FEC. Press the yellow button to get the list of channels being broadcast by that transponder. Highlight the name and press the yellow button for all the ones you wish to add to your list. Pressing the Select button saves your choices; your selected channels will now be available under the OTHER CHANNELS option on the Services menu (Services button, down then 5).
